Mona and I founded Liv Films in the summer of 2007. Although we had (and have) aspirations of legitimate filmmaking, we were in a bad financial situation and discovered that it was actually possible to make money by putting stupid videos online. After noticing the shockingly high view and income totals being achieved by videos of pretty girls walking around doing nothing, we bought a cheap wig at a costume shop and filmed Mona brushing her teeth in her underwear.

It was a hit beyond our wildest expectations and we quickly earned about $1000 from it. Follow-ups were similarly successful and we (or, more accurately, “Liv”– the name we borrowed from our cat to protect our anonymity) quickly built up a large following. Before long, however, we began to get very bored with this kind of video, and I began to write scripts with a little bit more of a sense of humor to them. One of these, “The Miracle Beer Diet” became a huge worldwide hit, and our first foray into political commentary got us into many mainstream media outlets, including– our personal favorite– being made fun of on Fox News.

In December 2008, we released our first DVD, “Brushing Teeth in Undies”, currently available in stores such as Target and Best Buy nationwide (also available online at amazon.com and for rental at netflix). About 60 minutes long, the DVD contains all of our biggest hits as well as several new sketches, outtakes, and uncensored bonus materials that we will never put online.
